You guys know how much I love new skincare and I was recently gifted a few products to try. I did only receive these a few weeks ago so I am very much still trialing them with my skin, I normally like to use a product for more than a month but I couldn’t wait to share my thoughts about the products.
I’m pretty sure I have enough skincare to last me years but with so many new brands and products coming out it’s hard not to be tempted especially when you know they are going to work with your skin and when the two brands I’m going to talk about have completely natural ingredients in their skincare which is something I tend to look for a lot more now.
TRUE Skincare – Cleansing Oil
I am very much into cleansing at the moment & the certified organic clarifying safflower & geranium cleansing oil I am very much growing to love. Oh but can we we just talk about the packaging for a second, it looks super expensive but in reality it’s only £12 for 100ml so it’s not going to really break the bank.
TRUE Skincare are enriched with natural and organic ingredients with no chemicals, artificial fragrance or parabens. They are 100% vegan friendly & never tested on animals.
I’ve been using this every morning and evening as part of my skincare routine and it’s got such a floral scent to it which makes my face feel so fresh. It depends on how I’ve done my makeup that day but I normally use about 4 drops as it’s a very thin consistency which glides onto the skin but it doesn’t run.
It honestly removes my makeup so well, I was very impressed and you can use it over the eye area as it’s not heavy. It can even remove waterproof mascara. Yes, you read that right.
I take the oil off with a warm damp cloth and it leaves my skin feeling so clean, nourished and fresh. The oil locks in the moisture while helping to unclog the pores.
I am very much loving this cleanser and I’m excited to keep using it to see if it changes my skin for the better.
TRUE Skincare – Facial Oil
After using the cleansing oil, then I normally go for a facial oil and the certified organic rehydrating rosehip & rosemary facial oil is one oil that I have been loving using lately.
The facial oil is for use on dehydrated skin but I’m sure it would work well on every skin type as it helps to rehydrate the skin which I think everyone’s skin needs some extra TLC sometimes.
Again, like the cleansing oil the price isn’t too bad with a 30ml bottle coming in at £13.50. I’ve known some many more oils be so much more expensive and not helped my skin.
The rosehip locks in the moisture whilst helping to reduce the appearance of scars, dark spots and fine lines and then the rosemary gets rid of the impurities so it helps maintain healthy clear skin.
My skin has never looked and felt better and even from day one I could see a difference to my fine lines. I love using this in my nighttime skincare routine as I wake up in the morning with such glowy and moisturised skin and nothing beats that feeling.
Tamaar Skincare – Balance Cream
Tamaar Skincare was founded by pharmacist Nav Kaur, she spent over five years reaserching, devolving and perfecting the skincare line so I felt very comfortable trying the advanced natural sebum balancing cream. 5 years is a long time..
Oh I just thought I’d mention that Tamaar Skincare are members of B1G1, Buisness for Good which means that for every product purchased, a forest tree is planted to help support the environment! I think this is such an amazing thing as we all need to start helping the environment and give back to nature more.
Onto the product..
The packaging is very high end. I absolutely love the bottle design with the frosted glass and gold lid pump, it looks perfect on my dressing table with all my beauty and skincare although it’s on the opposite end of the price range from TRUE as the balance cream comes in at £42 for 30ml but it is a completely different kind of product so I would expect to pay more.
The balance cream complex contains neem, grape seed oil, tamarind seed, Annatto & Curcuma Longa extracts which are amazing for skin calming and nourishing properties so they help to balance excess sebum without over-drying the skin. The cream is very much ideal to those with oily or combination skin!
The cream itself is very lightweight which dries quickly but I felt does leave your skin a little tacky which is something that normally puts me off a product. The scent is a very natural smell, I don’t know how I could describe it but it was very odd, I wasn’t a massive fan of it but i didn’t mind it as you don’t smell it for that long.
My skin really took well to the product though, I apply it when I do my morning skincare and it sits really well as a serum under my moisturiser or if I’m having a no-makeup day it’s a great moisturiser to use by itself. I thought it may have irritated my skin but I didn’t have that problem, it goes on well and it’s so gentle and I have really noticed that my skin is less oily in my t-zone and just generally overall.
Personally for me, I would purchase this as it does work I’m just not a massive fan of the tackiness it leaves behind but I can get used to that as it’s a genuinely amazing product which has helped my skin massively.
