I’m so excited that we are now in Autumn as it’s my favourite season although I do miss the longer days and lighter evenings in the summer but I love that I can see the leaves changing colour, it makes my heart happy as well as cosy jumpers, fluffy socks and all the hot drinks. I just love everything about it. Scrolling through social media it’s quite clear that a lot of people love Autumn.

Here are my reasons of why I love Autumn so much..
Long walks
Who doesn’t love long walks?! I think there’s just something refreshing about taking some time out to go on long walks, the fresh air, walking through all the crunchy leaves on the floor. It gives you the perfect time to just relax. I also love taking my camera out and getting some shots because nature is super pretty and as a blogger I can’t miss taking some photo’s outdoors in natural light.
My Birthday
I’m an October baby so when Autumn rolls around I know it’s not long to wait until my birthday. EXCITING.
Leaves
It’s strange that even though the leaves are dying off, they look so beautiful. I love that I can see the leaves constantly changing colour, I think it makes everywhere just look super pretty. We have quite a few big trees at the bottom of our garden and I couldn’t be happier with seeing all the different colours on them all. I remember the excitement when I was younger and saw the biggest pile of leaves and jumped in, that was the best feeling. If you read about what I got up to in New York, you will know how obsessed I am with the city. I can just imagine how pretty Central Park would be in Autumn, that’s definitely a reason why I need to go back.. Again.
Bonfire Night
I absolutely love Bonfire Night, I love the feeling of being all wrapped up in a massive coat and big scarf, standing outside and looking up at the sky watching all the pretty fireworks as well as standing next to a bonfire to keep warm. Oh and how could I nearly forget.. Sparklers! The last couple of years I haven’t been outside I just watched the fireworks from inside but this year I’m determined to get outside and enjoy the night.
Cosy indoor days
There’s no better excuse for a duvet day than when the weather is rubbish. A massive throw, candles, a good movie, lots of chocolate and your pyjamas, how can you can go wrong? Definitely one of my favourite things to do all year round as well.
Hot drinks from Costa
OMG. The best hot drinks come from Costa later in the year. The white hot chocolate though?! I’ve never been a fan of anything pumpkin spice that everyone raves about, I’m just fine with a hot chocolate and lots of cream with little marshmallows. Plus the themed cups from Costa and Starbucks are the cutest.
Cosy jumpers
Honestly, this is my favourite thing about autumn haha. I literally live in jumpers as I’m always cold so I have an excuse to buy more. Nothing can beat wrapping up in a big cosy jumper.

Halloween
To be honest I love bonfire night more than Halloween, I don’t know why I just find it a bit over hyped. I loved getting dressed up when I was younger to go trick and treating with friends, carving pumpkins and eating all the sweets and chocolate but now I don’t celebrate it too much. Maybe that’ll change this year, we’ll see..
Candles everywhere
I put a tweet out saying I was obsessed with buying candles recently and how someone needed to stop me. Guys, it’s becoming a problem but I just love how they make a room super cosy and smell amazing. Although I tend to light candles throughout the year I definitely step up my game from September onwards. I keep telling myself you can never have enough haha
Comfort food
With the colder weather, you can’t beat some comfort food. The chill in the air provides the perfect excuse to have a bowl of homemade soup.
Lush baths
Lush addict over here. I always look forward to when Lush releases there new bath bombs and I can’t wait to pick up some up. I’m pretty sure I will be needing to buy a massive basket or something soon to put all of my Lush products in as they are taking over my room..
One of my main reasons why I love when Autumn comes around is that I know Christmas is coming.. Okay, I won’t start going on about Christmas just yet.
What do you love the most about Autumn?

Ugh, 100% agree with the Lush baths one. It can almost be a hassle getting through Lush products during the Summer because it’s just usually nicer to have a really quick shower rather than a long cosy bath. Finally, I can use up all those Boxing Day sale bath bombs and bubble bars I’ve been hoarding since last year…!
I don’t know why I’m so obsessed but their products are just so good I can’t stop buying them haha. I’m exactly the same, I have so many that I need to use up before I even think of buying anymore 😂
I love this time of year! I’m also similar to you with the candles – I light them all year round but I’ve definitely upped my game with them recently + the wax melts haha!

It’s the best! Omg the wax melts, I forgot to mention those but yes I love them! Candles are such a weakness for me haha
I’m a huge candle lover anyway, so it’s fab in Autumn when I can double my stick! I’m also an Autumn baby. Bonfire night is my birthday ‘Boxing Day’. Here’s to Autumn and it’s many wonders 🙂
I like your thinking haha. Oh that’s so cool, I’d love to have my birthday on Bonfire night.
I couldnt agree more! I adore Autumn and it has always been my favourite season. I love all the colours that nature offers us in Autumn, and all the autumnal make up and fashion trends. Great post xx
I just love everything about it. It’s just the best season 🙌🏼 Thank you! xo
Yes! I think that’s why I love it so much 💕
I’m an autumn baby too (end of Sep), so autumn = birthday time for me as well! My dog used to love diving into piles of leaves and rolling around. As a child I remember walking to school with my Nan on crisp autumn mornings. I still enjoy autumn walks now, as long as it isn’t raining of course!
Oh yay! Hope you had a lovely Birthday. Ah that’s so lovely, I think walks are just so relaxing and great to clear your head as well as jumping in the leaves haha.
I agree with you! I am not a fan of Halloween, but everything else about Autumn gets me really excited! I hope you have a super birthday in October x
Halloween just doesn’t really excite me anymore.. Ah, thank you! 💕
LUSH BATHS! Oh how I miss them. We recently bought a house…lesson learned. GET IN the bath tub before buying. It’s like a kid size and def. not conducive to long luxurious soaks 🙁
I personally don’t like autumn because I get so cold and I know winter’s coming. But if I had to pick one thing, it would be the change of leaves in the CO mtns where I live. Breath-taking
I’m a big Autumn fan: there’s something melancholy about the sense of transition. Particularly the colours of the leaves, as they last for such a short time.
Oh I totally agree. I love seeing all the leaves changing 🍂
I too am a fan of autumn. I love wrapping up in knitwear. Dark chilly evenings are a great excuse to buy more candles! The sound of rustling leaves make me think of my childhood. Being a wheelchair user I loved rolling through the crispy leaves!
Cosy jumpers are just the best, aren’t they?! I don’t even need an excuse to buy more candles hahaha. Crispy leaves are one of the main reasons I love Autumn 💜
I’m an October baby too! Happy birthday to you! I’m not too excited about Autumn though, I can’t deal with cold very well. And I live in a house where people are not very keen on turning the heating on. But that’s just me. I love the fact that I can light my candles and have cosy evenings now! And I had my first autumn Lush bath yesterday and I absolutely loved it.

Ah, I’m just realising I’m replying to this comment on your birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 💕 Omg. I hate the cold but I love just wrapping up in all the big jumpers, coats and boots. Ahh, I’m so excited to stock up on all the bath bombs.
I like fall but not as much as summer! Maybe it’s because it just brings us that much closer to winter? haha
Maybe haha. Summer is my second favourite season!
Totally agrew with all of these 🙋🏼 autumn is my fave time of the year too!
Yay! It is the BEST season 🙌🏼
You’ve converted me…I now LOVE Autumn and never realised it before!!!
Being cozy and candles are defenitely my fave!! I love autumn and winter and I’m so excited for the weather to finally cool down! xx

100% agree with all of this! Love this post and it reminded me of exactly why I love Autumn but especially Winter because they roll into one another. November marks my birthday month, so definitely excited for that! Also cosy jumpers are just amazing. If you’re not feeling it, chuck on a jumper with a vest top and you are good to go!
