It’s 2018. Where did 2017 go?! Honestly feels like last year didn’t even happen. I know we are nearly halfway through January already so I’m a little late in posting this but hopefully I’ll be more organised as a blogger this year although I’m already behind with posting this one later than planned so who knows? I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and amazing new year. Mine were quiet but lovely, spending time with family is my favourite thing so it was nice just to hang out with them.

I really have no idea what this year is going to hold, but I guess we are now on the way to finding out. I’m actually super excited for this year, I don’t know why but I’ve just got a feeling that it’s going to be a good year.
PERSONAL GOALS FOR 2018
I’m signed up for the Great Birmingham 10K in May and I’m so determined to finish in a good time. I’ve only just started training and it’s going well apart from I’ve just pulled a muscle in my back but let’s not talk about that.. I’ll be running for the charity Blood Cancer UK and I’m so nervous but this is one goal I want to smash not just to raise money for a deserving charity but for myself.
I want to save as much money as possible this year. I have so many plans going round in my head that I’m excited for but I need money haha. I am the worst for going out somewhere and picking up things I don’t need so I have got to stop doing that. I do have a money transfer every month from my bank to my savings account but if I have any money left over I’ll be transferring that over too. I know it’s going to be hard but I will do this.
Smile more. I’m hoping this will be one of the easier ones haha. I do smile a lot anyway but just smiling at a stranger walking their dog or a sales assistant if they are having a bad day can make someone’s day brighter.
I want to travel to more places wether it be in the UK or abroad. I do have a holiday booked in June to go to Rhodes which I’m really looking forward too as I’ve never been there and we’re are going down to London for a few days later in the year but I love travelling to different places and seeing the sights so I want to try and see more beautiful places.
I never seem to take many photos although I’m sure my mom and sister would disagree.. I want to try and take more when we are out and about. I love photography so I’m always happy when I can take my camera anywhere to take some shots.

This year I want to throw myself into my blog more. I’m now at a place with my blog where I love the topics I’m writing about and I’m really passionate about them. I’m really excited at where I can take my blog in the next few months.
I actually had my first collab a few weeks ago which I was so happy about and last week I had another email about a future collab so look out for that. I’m still in love with my blog layout from Pipdig and I have actually just recently purchased the new shopr plugin which is gong to make my life so much easier. As with my personal goals above I thought I’d do some blog goals to keep me motivated.
BLOG GOALS FOR 2018
The first and probably most important one is to make more time for writing posts, taking photos, just more time for blogging in general. I don’t want to be like last year and write up a post and take the photos for a post in one day and stress myself out. That’s just not the best way. I’m going to sort out a schedule and hopefully stick to it although not going to be strict with it as I know life can get in the way. This year will be different.
Stats. Yes they aren’t the most important thing to be looking at I know but it’s always nice to see them improving. I don’t know if I will be able to hit my goals below but honestly it doesn’t matter too much. I’m not sure why I’m putting any growth for Instagram as we all know that’s never going to happen..
Numbers on the left as of 11th January.
Twitter: 2,918 👉🏼 4,000
Instagram: 2,203 👉🏼 3,000
Facebook: 146 👉🏼 250
Bloglovin: 260 👉🏼 310
Pinterest: 358 👉🏼 450
I’d love to improve my photography. I put a lot of pressure on myself about how my photos look now, I never used too but now I know how much photography means in blogging. I could take 200 photos and only use 2 because I’m so hard on myself. They need to be perfect and if not I won’t use them (I know, silly).
I know you can do a lot in editing as there’s so many great apps out there now but if I’m not happy with the photo I’ve taken I’m not going to edit it. Also, I’m shocking at flatlay photos.. I can never get the angle right so that’s another thing I’d love to get better. All the technical stuff about my camera baffles me.. I literally have no idea what everything means so I’m determined to teach myself so I can be happy with the settings on my camera etc.
I want to post more about cancer and how your life drastically changes post treatment. There’s just so much that goes on and honestly I’ve been struggling with the sh*t cancer leaves you with once your treatment ends. The side effects are no joke. I’ll be writing more about my experiences because I hope that it will help someone else going through the same.
My last one probably isn’t going to happen but you never know, it’s to go to a blogger event. The main reason I’d love to go is to meet other bloggers. All the bloggers I talk to on social media are all so lovely, it would be amazing to meet in person. I know I would be super nervous to go but I’d love this to happen.
If there is anything you would like me to feature on my blog this year please let me know. I will hopefully have lots of new content coming very soon. Have you guys got any goals for this year?

You can find me over on instagram, why not have a little scroll while you’re there?

I love this post lovely, I really hope 2018 is a good one for you! I’m positive you’ll be able to smash all these goals I wish you the best of luck. It’s very exciting to hear about your second collaboration, that’s brilliant news.

Ah, I hope so too. I’m so determined to hit them all! Thank you sweetie, I’m excited. xo
Smiling more and smiling more at people is such a nice goal to make. I like to smile at people when I’m just walking along the street and I always get annoyed when people don’t smile back! You’re right though, sometimes you might smile at a stranger and it might be the only nice thing that happened to them the whole day.

Thank you! I’m the same, I think it’s a little rude if they don’t smile back haha xo
Good luck in your 10k run, lovely! I did my first ever 10k run last year and the feeling afterwards is amazing. You’ll be great! I hope you achieve your other goals too.
P.S. you always make my day when you support myself and other bloggers just by being your usual smiley self 💗
Thank you! After seeing you finishing the 10K that actually inspired me to sign up so thank you beautiful 💕 I’m going to be so happy once I’ve finished haha
Awh! This is the sweetest comment 😭
It’s nice to hear I’ve inspired you and I’m glad! Yeah you’ll be like, WHEY I’M GLAD THAT’S OVER but feel equally amazing at the same time. Good luck with all of your training 🙂 xxx
I absolutely love the name of your blog. I think it’s great you’ve identified some goals for the near future. Charity run should be rewarding. Best of luck saving. Remind yourself what your saving for and maybe you’ll be more inclined to splurge less.
Awh, thank you so much! I am nervous for the run but looking forward to the challenge. That’s a good idea! xo
Good luck on all of your goals! That marathon sounds like such a killer, so kudos to you for wanting to do that (although I’m sure you’ll be able to smash it!)
My goals this year would be to focus on my photography too, although my DSLR is such a pain to lug around with me on days out… What camera would you recommend?
Thank you! My dream is to be able to run the London Marathon.. I’ve done a 5K so a 10K seemed like the next step 🙂
Oh. I get you. I have the Cannon EOS M10 and I’d recommended it! It’s not too big and I love it. Such a good camera xo
I love how many great goals you have! I need to save money and I want to travel more too! Good luck with all of your goals! x
Thank you so much, lovely xo
I love how you’ve written down your number goals and find that so inspiring – I may do the same! Your goals and photography is incredible, keep it up! 🧡
It definitely helps to motivate me if my goals are written! Aw, thank you so much! xo
Wishing you all the best with your goals. Have you done a 10k before? It’s honestly the best feeling when you complete that run!
Anna x
Thank you! I’ve never done a 10K but I’m looking forward to it.. I think 😂 xo
you kept mentioning that you wanted to improve your photography skill, but i thought these photos you used here are lovely and look so aesthetic and professional! But I totally know what you mean on the camera there are so many switches and settings and it just straight over my head too hehe!
You’ve got some great goals here espescially with the travelling and also your 10k run! I hope it all goes well for you!
I definitely think I’m getting better with my camera which is making me happy, I just need to figure all the functions out haha. Aw, this is so sweet of you to say, thank you! Xo
These are brilliant goals, and I’m sure you’ll achieve them all this year. Work hard, stay determined, and don’t forget to take breaks too. Good luck with your 10K 🙂 Can’t wait to see what the year brings you x
I hope so 🙊 Thank you so much! xo
