Palmer’s have been one of my favourite brands for a good while now, I used some of the products while I was going through chemotherapy and they kept my skin super soft. Palmer’s kindly sent me some of their cocoa butter range to try out which I have been doing for a good few weeks now and I’m excited to share my thoughts about them.
Cocoa Butter Body Lotion
The Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Body Lotion is the UK’s #1 and it’s not hard to see why. A rich, creamy lotion made from pure Cocoa Butter enriched with Vitamin E. This body lotion has become an everyday essential for me and the smell is just beautiful. After just one application my skin feels so much more smooth.
It’s not one of those lotions that go sticky after you put it on and then you have to wait a while to put your clothes on, this dries so quick and leaves my skin feeling like butter, wether that’s a good or bad I’m not sure but we’ll go with it.
I have a few scars from going through cancer treatment and this body lotion has helped improve them significantly. I never thought they would look nicer if that makes sense but they do and I think that’s all down to the cocoa butter body lotion.
Cocoa Butter Heel Repair
My feet are ALWAYS dry and cracked, with working in retail and being on my feet most of the day oh, and being more into my running now it’s no wonder my feet and heels could do with some repairing.
I love the feel of the Cocoa Butter Heel Repair stick, it’s really smooth and goes on really well. I’ve been using this literally every day and my heels now feel so soft and they aren’t cracked or dry so it’s doing it’s job. I’m really impressed with the heel repair and I think it’s something which I’ll be needing more and more throughout the year. Oh and apparently it’s really effective if you use it at night then put cotton socks on, I haven’t done this as yet but I’ll definitely be trying it, hopefully it’ll help even more.
Cocoa Butter Lip Balm
Ever since my childhood I have always picked up the Nivea lip balm because it’s always kept my lips moisturised but then I tried the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter lip balm and I don’t think I’ll be going back to Nivea.
Not only does it taste amazing, (honestly tastes like chocolate) but it also keeps my lips moisturised for a good while & it doesn’t have a sticky feel to it which I thought it might, it’s just like a balm and is perfect for carrying around in a handbag or purse. Oh and it has SPF 15 in so it’s the perfect lip balm to take on holiday.
I love the shape of the balm, it’s shaped to your lips and makes the application really easy. I also love that you can actually feel it working so for me this lip balm is a winner.
Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Body Oil
One product from the Cocoa Butter range that I haven’t tried prior is the Moisturizing Body Oil. After using this for a few weeks now I have to say this is definitely one of my favourites from Palmer’s, it’s a lightly scented body oil with pure cocoa butter enriched with Vitamin E that helps to smooth and soften dry skin.
I use it straight after my shower or you can put a drop in the bath and the water makes the oil speread a lot more easily. It’s not the fastest to absorb and I had to leave it a little while before getting dressed but it left my skin feeling super soft.
I’m not sure where they have come from but I have some stretch marks at the top of my legs (I’m blaming chemo because I didn’t have them before) but the body oil has helped make them not so prominent and I’m excited to see how much more it can help but we’ll see..
Cocoa Butter Intensive Relif Hand Cream
One of the BEST hand creams I have ever used is the Intensive Relief Hand Cream from Palmer’s. As I said before I have tried some products while going through chemotherapy and this was one of them. I took this everytime I went to the hospital in my bag as my hands would get super dry and this hand cream was a lifesaver and still is to this day.
I put the hand cream on every morning and it absorbs really fast and smells amazing like all the other products in the range. Oh and it’s enriched with Vitamin E! I don’t just use this on my hands, it’s also amazing for use on elbows. I know.. weird aren’t I? but I always put way too much on and have some left over so I just started putting what I had left on my elbows and they have honestly never felt so smooth haha. For just over £2 for 60g this is defneitly one hand cream I’ll be using for a long time.
If you buy anything from Palmer’s make sure it’s something from the Cocoa Butter range. Your skin will thank you for it.
