I’m constantly stuck on what to wear throughout the summer months. I’m more of an autumn/winter girl in terms of styling and fashion, even though I love the warmer weather, the UK just isn’t it right now although as I write this we’re having a mini heatwave. I don’t find 16 degrees in June acceptable but that’s just what you have to put up with living in the UK. Hopefully we’ll actually have some hotter weather into July and longer than a couple of days. Let’s hope so anyway.
I have put together 5 curated minimal looks for this summer, taking inspiration mainly from Pinterest and Instagram. One of my favourite hobbies is scrolling through Pinterest, anyone else?

#1 – I am very much here for anything striped for summer and I love these little shorts. Keeping it casual by adding an oversized tee and new balance’s, I’m obsessed with this whole look.
I probably wouldn’t have even put this together last year, I think my style has really changed in the past few months but I could totally see myself in this. This is definitely one for you if you want to keep it casual but still look put together.

#2 – When I saw a similar outfit while scrolling Pinterest I knew I had to recreate it. I could totally see this look roaming around Italy on a beautiful sunny day. I would have my hair up in a bun, I’d also add a gold bangle and a very simple gold necklace to complete the look.
I think anytime you can add a straw bag to an outfit, it just screams summer and I am totally obsessed with this one from & Other Stories. Sometimes the most simplest outfits are the ones that look the most put together.

#3 – A skort, an essential piece of clothing in any girls wardrobe. I brought one last year and I constantly pulled for it during the summer months last year. It’s such an easy piece to style especially with an oversized t-shirt like this one.
The Samba OG trainers really do pull this outfit together perfectly. I swear the samba’s literally go well with everything, I really need to invest in some, something I’ve been telling myself for months and you really can’t go wrong with a little black shoulder bag.

#4 – If you feel more compatible wearing black during the summer then this is the most perfect outfit for you and one of the most simplest outfits you can possible wear while looking chic. You really can’t go wrong with a black satin skirt, it’s so versatile and you can pretty much pair it with anything.
I adore the chunky platform sandals and you can always swap out the black bag for a soft yellow to add a little colour if you wanted or maybe change up the racerback tank top.

#5 – I saw this dress over on Instagram and actually in store when I went shopping recently but in white and even though the white was nice I much prefer this sage green colour. Totally obsessed. It’s the perfect little summer dress and I LOVE the open back of it.
I’ve paired it with a pair of some flat leather sandals, oval sunglasses and a raffia top-handle bag. This is honestly my type of summer outfit and I’m totally here for it.

You can find me over on Instagram, why not have a little scroll whilst you’re there?
