Oh hey, October. It’s been a little while since I’ve shared what I’ve loved throughout a certain month so I thought we’d bring it back as we are now starting to get into the cosier & colder months.
This October, I have really been embracing the changing of the season and getting more into taking it more slow.
I mean I’ve been mostly binging Netflix with money heist and squid game being the two main ones taking over my time but I’ve loved not being constantly switched on and cosying down with lots of food. I just find the later months the best months of the year.
Cosy games
It’s no secret I love a good cosy game but more into September/October I have been loving them and especially Stardew Valley as well as a little animal crossing. I really got more into Stardew when I fell out of love with animal crossing, I’d just played constantly since march and just didn’t want to pick up my switch anymore, I think a lot of people in the AC community felt the same which is why I started to play Stardew and when its raining outside there’s nothing better than lighting a candle while playing.
If you play animal crossing you may have heard about the massive update coming soon which is so exciting, we’ve waited for this for so long and it was well needed so I’m looking to flatten parts of my island and start re-building ready for when it comes out and I can’t wait to get back into it, I think the update was just what I needed to get back playing but I’m sure I’ll keep up with Stardew.

Instagram reels
I wasn’t a massive fan once instagram added reels, i mean who was? I was very much against the whole video content idea of instagram and was happy in the photo sharing world but recently I have been loving them, not just watching but making them and I don’t know where it’s come from. I’ve been seeing a few tutorials on how to make certain aesthetic reels and I’ve just gained so much inspiration from it.
It led me to trying out certain ways of filming and just playing out with the whole editing side and not putting pressure on myself to make it perfect and I think that’s why I have been liking reels a lot more recently. Let’s see how long it lasts..
Ideal of Sweden bag and phone case
You guys know how much I love this brand and their products from my post back in April but I’ve not long had a couple of new products land at home which I couldn’t wait to share with you!
First off is the ocean shimmer phone case which is from their Into The Blue collection. Being by the ocean is honestly one of my favourite things so I love having this phone case in my life, the case itself is inspired by the ocean sparkling under the summer sun and isn’t it just perfect.
As I mentioned in my April post the quality of the phone cases are just ridiculous. I mean I am clumsy and have dropped my phone (a few times) with an ideal of Sweden case on and its protected my phone and the case doesn’t have a scratch on it. I honestly can’t see myself buying a phone case from anywhere else in the near future.

The top handle phone bag I have been obsessed with. I originally wanted it in cream but I am so happy with the black for the more colder months and to be honest it will go with more of my wardrobe so I think I made the right choice in the end. Do you know when you get a new bag and you take it everywhere with you? this has been me ever since I got this bag in my life. It’s just the perfect size to fit my phone in and I was actually surprised with how much more I could fit in around my phone.
It comes with a gold chain, dust bag and the packaging is just beautiful so really does scream premium quality. I honestly love the ruffle detailing on the top of the bag, its really soft and it’s just so perfect for me.

Seeing the leaves changing colour
My favourite time of year has come around again and nothing makes me happier than seeing the colour of the leaves changing over and falling from the trees. I just find it all so magical seeing the leaves change over to the crisp golden orange/yellow colour.
Walking through them wether the weather is sunny or rainy is just the best feeling and I don’t think I’ll ever get over the excitement of kicking and jumping in them. October really does bring out the best in nature.

What have you loved in October?

Like you, it took me a while to warm up to Reels, now I love watching them! However, I do have to be in the right mood and have enough time to make them myself! x

Oh I totally agree, Lucy! Reels aren’t the easiest thing to make and then edit but I think if your in the right mood it can totally change your outlook x
