I don’t know whether you are aware but I have a slight obsession with rose gold. It was only about a year ago where everything I was picking up was rose gold, like fairy lights and little home decor pieces. Oh and after browsing on Pinterest I have now decided my future home kitchen will have all rose gold accessories. Anyone else just browse on Pinterest designing their future home or is that just me?
I’m kind of getting off topic about what I actually want to talk about.. So, most of my jewellery now is rose gold and that’s all I basically wear except from a few bangles from Alex & Ani which are gold and I rarely wear silver. Usually in the summer I don’t wear a lot of jewellery just because I wear my Fitbit so I don’t like to wear a lot on, I would maybe put on a ring but that’s about it. Jewellery like many other accessories, has the power to make or break an outfit which is why I like to make sure I buy the right pieces for me.
I was lucky enough to win some lovely bits from Jewellery Box from a competition I entered on Twitter and I couldn’t be happier with how gorgeous the jewellery is. I could choose what I wanted off the website up to the value of £30 so I picked out a couple of necklaces for myself and gave my mom and sister the option to pick something for themselves.
My mom chose a horseshoe bracelet and my sister chose a pretty silver necklace. I haven’t taken photo’s of these but I have linked them. When the jewellery arrived the first thing I noticed was the packaging, it was just the cutest. All of the pieces were super affordable as well which I loved. I mean I didn’t really except much but for the quality of the jewellery I was super impressed!
The first piece that I want to talk about is this rose gold heartbeat pendent, it’s dainty and cute so it’s very me. I’ve wanted something like this for a while and when I noticed it on the website I couldn’t have clicked on it fast enough. I rarely wear a lot of necklaces, I’m not one for layering so I love to keep it very simple with one (usually rose gold) piece. I hate having too many things on my wrist or neck, it really annoys me for some reason so when I’m picking a necklace to go with an outfit I need to be sure it’s the right one. Usually a heartbeat would represent love but I decided to go for this one because what this represents for me is that my heart is still beating, I’m here and I’m still surviving.
The next piece is this beautiful pentagon pendent on a chain. Again, this one is very me and I’m not sure why I went with another necklace, but I couldn’t stop staring at this one on the website. I think little dainty necklaces are a great way to break up the space between your top and your face, I kind of feel naked without one. Anyone else?
I love how the jewellery from Jewellery Box is very simple and minimal and I couldn’t be more in love with the jewellery I received and I’m pretty sure these will be on my neck for the foreseeable future.
