I haven’t posted that many beauty posts but they are actually becoming posts that I love to write so you may be seeing more from me. My last post on the Urban Decay setting spray did really well and I was super happy with all the feedback and a couple of people actually decided to buy it after reading my post which made me so happy!
Anyway onto today’s post.. So, over the last month or so I’ve been buying some beauty bits I’ve wanted to try out for a while and my last delivery (it sounds like I ordered a lot.. I didn’t) was around a week ago and I wanted to wait until I received it before writing this post because the products in that delivery I was most excited about!
Oh, before I get into this post I just wanted to point out that after taking photo’s for this post I realised I forgot to photograph one product (Ooopppss). I was so mad at myself that I’d left it out and I honestly don’t know how it happened but I’ll let you know below when I mention it.
Lets start with the products I picked up from Boots one afternoon..
C.Y.O – Foundation
I’d heard a lot of good things about this foundation and I’m always quite picky when it comes to foundation as I’m super pale so trying to find the right shade for me is such a nightmare. I decided to pick this up in store though in the lightest shade (101). It’s supposed to be a long lasting foundation so I’m excited to see how it stays on and how long for. £7.50 for foundation I would say is on the cheaper side so if I do find it good it won’t break the bank.
Maybelline – Fit Me Matte Foundation
Yes. Another foundation.. I haven’t found my perfect one yet so I’m just trying out loads to find it haha. I’m tempted to try the Fenty Beauty one because I’ve heard really amazing things anyway I picked up the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation randomly at the checkout as it was such a great price, pretty sure it was just £6.99.
I’m not sure if I picked up the right shade as it does look a little darker to what I’m used too but I’m looking forward to trying it out and seeing what I think. At the moment I’m loving matte foundations but some don’t sit comfortably on my skin so hopefully this will be different.
Maybelline – Master Holographic Highlighter
Another product I’m currently obsessed with is highlighter. I mean who isn’t?! I’ve always gone for a powder highlighter just because they always look so pretty on the stand and I can’t help but pick them up. I’m such a sucker for a pretty makeup product haha. This highlighter (linked on ASOS as couldn’t find it on Boots website) looked like one I would normally go for so I just dropped it in my basket.
Maybelline – Master Strobing Liquid Highlighter
This is the product I forgot to photograph but the packaging is pretty and kind of like a holographic effect! I’ve never picked up a liquid highlighter before (shocker). I have been trying this out for the last few days and omg I’m in love. The glow it gives is unreal and it stays on for most of the day. I’m not sure how I haven’t tried a liquid highlighter before but I’m now completely converted.
L’Oréal – Dream Lengths Heat Mask
This doesn’t really fit in with my makeup purchases but I thought why not chuck it in as well being as I purchased it on the same day. I paid £5.99 for the dream lengths mask but at the moment it’s on offer at Boots for just £3.99! As L’Oréal had just released this and it was by the tills I thought why not give it a try as at the moment my hair definitely needs some TLC as it’s a little dry so I’m hoping this mask will help!
Onto the online purchases..
The 3 products below I brought from the Beauty Bay website. *Pssst* Can you believe I have never purchased from Beauty Bay until a couple of weeks ago?! Neither can I.
The Ordinary – Coverage Foundation
I’m going to London in October for a few days to celebrate my birthday and I was going to wait to go to Covent Garden (I’ll probably still go) but I couldn’t wait so I decided to get their coverage foundation! I’d heard so many good things about this foundation and with it being an inexpensive product I thought why not. I picked it up in the lightest shade as I’m very fair so I’m hoping it’ll be light enough for me.
The Ordinary – Caffeine Solution
Again, another product which I’ve wanted to get for a while as I have dark circles underneath my eyes I’d seen a few people on Twitter mention how good the caffeine solution from The Ordinary is. I have tried SO many products that claim to help dark circles but nothing has helped with mine so I’m really hoping this will. I also love the packaging of the product, such a simple design but it looks so good. The reviews on the Beauty Bay website look great so they definitely helped me decide to purchase although it is only £6 for a 30ml so very affordable!
Morphe – 350 Nature Glow Palette
This palette I have been lusting over for a while and when I heard Morphe we’re leaving Beauty Bay and loads of their products were going on sale I couldn’t resist purchasing. The nature glow palette is my kind of palette. It was reduced from £23 to £14, such a great price for an amazing palette.
The shades are just gorgeous and I would totally wear every one, I’m just hoping all the shades are easy to blend! I know when I usually buy an eyeshadow palette there’s usually a couple of shades which I wouldn’t wear but I’m so happy that I’ll be able to use every shade. Even though I haven’t used it yet I can see it’s definitely worth the money. I have linked the nature glow palette on Beauty Bay as that’s where I purchased from but now they have unfortunately stopped selling Morphe but you will be able to purchase from the Morphe official website.
That’s everything that I’ve brought in the last couple of weeks that I’m very excited to try out. I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully I’ll be sharing more beauty posts with you soon!

Wanted to get that Maybelline highlighter since everyone started raving about it, but when I swatched it in store I wasn’t impressed so passed on it. Want to get The Ordinary foundation though, currently looking for every day foundation. xx
