A couple of months ago, one of my blogger friends Gemma messaged me asking if I’d be interested in doing a box swap so basically sending each other parcels with products in and I couldn’t have been quicker to reply to her message. I’ve been wanting to do one for ages as it seemed super fun and you never know what you are going to receive. I think everyone should do this because it’s like Christmas came early.
Me and Gemma met over Twitter and we’ve been friends for just over a year now. She’s honestly my blogging bestie, whenever I’ve got a problem or I’m stuck for post ideas I just message her and she always seems to have an answer.
We have actually met in Birmingham and spent a lovely day shopping and eating. Gemma’s blog is one of my favourites and I’m not just saying this because she’s my friend. Ever since following her blog, I always look forward to her posts landing in my inbox.
We set a budget of around £15-20 but we both went over a little bit & to be honest I knew I would anyway, I can never stick to a budget. We decided to do a range of items and not just stick to one theme.
We had decided on a date to post the boxes which was supposed to be a couple of weeks ago but I was very behind on shopping for Gemma so we had to push it back until now but I’m glad I had a bit more time as i didn’t want to rush what I was getting her.
When I received my box off Gemma she had included a Christmas card which was cute and she had wrapped all the products up in tissue paper. Such cute packaging!
The first thing I saw when I opened the box was a quote which read “Let your dreams blossom” with a note from Gemma on the back then I noticed a notebook, I think every blogger can agree with me when I say a notebook is your best friend. I write everything in my notebooks, literally anything and everything.
If I didn’t have one I wouldn’t know what I was doing day-to-day and the one Gemma got for me is super pretty. I’m obsessed with the pattern and inside rather than just plain paper, it’s got “Date” at the top which is perfect for blog post ideas. I also saw next to the notebook was some stickers from Paperchase.. I’m obsessed with their store, anyone else? I could spend ages browsing. The stickers are super cute and are something I can see myself using on every notebook I have.
The next couple of things I noticed were a bar of Galaxy chocolate and some super cute Disney socks. I still haven’t eaten the chocolate yet as every blogger knows you can’t use anything until you’ve photographed it. Duh. It may get eaten tonight though..
Gemma actually messaged me asking what my favourite Disney Character was and I replied with Thumper, then when I saw that the socks she had brought me were in fact Thumper Disney socks I smiled so big. It was so lovely she had thought about such a little thing and it made such a big difference. As the weather is getting so cold right now, I’ll be living in these socks.
Onto the next couple of products which I love normally so I was super excited. Gemma got me a beautiful candle which smells so gorgeous, I can’t even explain the smell. I can’t wait to start burning it, in my room right now I have so many candles but this one smells amazing, it’s sea salt and sage and I love the blue colour of the candle of the gold top, It’s definitely one candle that won’t last long.
Gemma also added a little bath bomb in the shape of a cupcake which is the cutest! I can’t wait to have a relaxing night burning my candle and a bath with this lovely little bath bomb.
The last thing I picked out of the box was a beautiful little makeup bag with my initial on, the pink colour and the bag is just so me. She’s couldn’t have picked a cuter makeup bag! I think this was one of my favourite items she got me as I’m always buying more makeup bags to put my never ending makeup in that I’m buying.. Someone needs to stop me, it’s becoming a real problem.
I really loved doing this box swap and I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to Gemma for doing this with me. Remember to go & see what I brought Gemma just head over to her blog HERE. You can also follow Gemma on Twitter & Instagram.

Gemma did so well! I’m so glad we were able to do the box swap, it really made me smile x
That’ such a lovely idea, even more when you can tell the other person took time to think about what you would really like. I did a box swap with some blogger friends in Germany last year and it was so much fun!
Oh exactly! Gemma put so much thought into the products she brought me and I couldn’t have been more thankful! Awh! That sounds amazing x
Looks like a good parcel of surprises there, all the things that would make me happy x

What a lovely parcel! Such a lovely idea. I was meant to be taking part in something similar but it all fell apart, I was so disappointed because I love going out and buying presents for people!
Awh, such a shame that yours fell through! Maybe you can take part in another one? It’s so fun buying for other people isn’t it?! 🙌🏼
