Beauty bits I’ve been loving lately

I wish I could have come up with a more imaginative title but I’ve been thinking about it for a while now and nothing new has come so we’ll stick with this one. There’s a few beauty bits I have been loving recently so I thought I’d share my favourites with you.

This Sephora eyeshadow palette is quickly becoming my go to just because of the colours. They are just so perfect for me. They are probably more suited to spring/summer but I’m loving using the darker tones right now, and the palette is just so pigmented. It actually looks like from the photo I haven’t actually used it but trust me I have haha.

I can’t find the eyeshadow palette online anymore so I’m not sure if Sephora have discontinued it or I’m just being lazy and can’t find it.

Next up is the NYK1 Lash Force. It’s an eyelash and brow serum that’s supposed to activate growth in both length and thickness. I was so excited to start trying this out as after having chemotherapy my lashes and eyebrows both fell out and they haven’t come back as full or as thick at all and I just haven’t been able to find a product to help.

I hardly ever wear false lashes, just very occasionally on a special occasion, I’m the worst at applying them so if I can find a product that  helps with the growth of my lashes and doesn’t cost £££ then I’m all over it.

The serum comes in a tube with tiny brush applicator which reminds me of a liquid eyeliner. You just need to apply a drop of the serum to the roots of your lashes, just as you would with eyeliner, and just twice daily, It’s really easy to apply and dries quickly. 

To be truthful, I have been trying to apply twice daily but sometimes I do forget. Anyway, I’ve been using this for a good couple of months now and I can see a difference, not a massive difference but my lashes are considerably longer and stronger.

I really didn’t expect to see much difference from it in the time I’ve been using it especially as I haven’t been very consistent and definitely haven’t applied it as often as I should.

My eyebrows were very patchy and they definitely look a little fuller now and have more colour which I was surprised with but I’m not complaining, overall, I am very happy with. I will be continuing to use this product and hopefully keep remembering to apply morning and night to see a lot more growth in both. I would definitely recommend this product if you want fuller looking lashes and brows. If you would like a little update to how I’m getting on I could always do a post on Instagram? Perfume is one thing I’ll never stop purchasing and this one from Hugo Boss is so lovely. The bottle is something different and is super pretty. I’m not one for a specific scent, I just go for ones that I love the smell of and can see myself wearing for a long time.

I actually went shopping one day close to Christmas and saw this was on offer in Debenhams and was so close to purchasing but left it because I was struggling with money and couldn’t justify buying myself something when I had other people to buy Christmas presents for. Fast forward to Christmas Day and as I had mentioned this to my mom before I unwrapped it as a Christmas present from her and was so pleased!

Another beauty product I purchase often every couple of weeks are face masks and this pure clay mask from L’Oréal is one of my favourites. I’ve been using this once a week for a while now and it really does leave my skin so smooth which makes my makeup goes on so well and I really don’t have to use a lot either. I always make sure to moisturise after because it does leave my skin a little dry but it’s one of the best face masks I’ve used in a while. The Pure Clay detox mask is perfect for those self care evenings.

Last but not least are these Miss Guided body mists which smell so amazing. I didn’t actually know they did these until I got sent a couple from Sparkle PR but I’m so glad I have tried them because I’ll defenitly be purchasing some for myself. I started using the ‘Vibe Enchancer’ which is more of a warm and slightly sweet scent and I’d say out of the two it’s probably my most favourite. The ‘Boy Tears’ mist is more of a fresh fruity scent, you can definitely tell a raspberry hint in there.

They are such good value as they contain a good 290ml of product. The only thing this is they don’t last throughout the day, I mean you wouldn’t really expect it to though. The mists are heavy so you can’t exactly carry it around in your bag so it would be good if they made a travel size so you could carry it around but that is my only negative. I love everything else including the packaging and the names, I think they are the cutest. If you’re looking for a light and fresh scent for the daytime, then these mists would be perfect.
