I like to think I’m pretty organised in regards to my blog and everything that goes with it. Last year I was quite lazy with my blog and I honestly think that’s why I didn’t hit all of my goals and grow how I wanted but coming into 2019 I was determined to do better and made a few changes.
There’s a lot that goes into running a blog and all of your social media channels some of which I mentioned in my misconceptions of blogging post not too long ago but it’s also important to listen to your body and not over do it, sometimes you just need a day off to do nothing other than watch friends all day long and eat all the snacks.

5 ways to become more productive.
Plan out your time.
Sometimes planning out your tasks for the day or week even is the best thing you can do, that means you know exactly what you should be doing and when. Working in blocks of time has always helped me, for example; I work for 45 minutes then take a 5 or 10 minute break then after working for longer say 3-4 hours I reward myself with a longer break. It really does make such a difference in my mood and I’m way more productive.
Set yourself little goals everyday.
It’s all well and good setting goals but if they are massive ones they kind of put you off them, if that makes sense because they are just too big and you don’t want to start because it’s such a big task so why not make smaller goals in relation to your big goal?
I always make around 5 little goals per day and always hit them. It may just be to organise props ready for a photo shoot the next day or upload on Instagram. These little goals may sound small but they are contributing to something bigger!
Take batches of photo’s.
This is actually one thing I struggle with for some reason, maybe it’s because I’m not creative enough to come up with different set up’s for each photo, I don’t know but it’s something I have started to do because it saves so much time and helps me a lot.
I don’t have time to take photo’s every few days and you can’t trust the weather so I try to take as many as I can in one go. If I get too overwhelmed which happens often I usually take a good break and come back to it and that usually helps me get some better photo’s.
Once all my photography is done and edited which I try to do on the same day I feel so relived knowing that a good few weeks of content is good to go.

Lock up your phone.
I know in this day and age not having your phone is considered a nightmare but imagine how much more productive you would be if you weren’t checking your phone every 5 minutes?
I used to have my phone right next to me while writing and get so easily distracted when a notification popped up from Instagram or Twitter and then before I knew it that was an hour gone. Oh and the same applies to having multiple tabs open on your laptop which I am complete guilty of.
Now I just keep the WordPress editor page open on my laptop and move my phone to a different room or just in a draw and that has been the best way for me to become more productive.
Write a to–do list every morning.
I love a good list but doesn’t everyone? I have always found creating lists helpful, it always motivates me throughout the day. I have found writing a list in the morning or even the night before much better than halfway through the day so then when I wake up I have a plan and know what I’m doing.
I don’t think I could get through one day without writing a list wether that be on my phone or just on a note pad, I’m obsessed but I really do think it’s a great way to keep motivated to get things done, I also love ticking things off so that’s always a bonus.

You can find me over on instagram, why not have a little scroll while you’re there?

You’re welcome. I’m glad they are helpful 🙂
Huge thanks for this post! I really want to get myself into a better routine with my blog and think these tips will help x
It’s so hard trying to find a routine that will work for you but hopefully you’ll find one soon! Glad it’s helpful, lovely x
You listed some nice tips and easy to implement for all bloggers 🙂 I agree with you Samantha, keeping your phone away and with less tabs open makes it so much easier to not become distracted. I also find that setting a limit time on social media keeps me on track with the things I need to get done for the day.

Ah that’s a good idea with the time limits, I never thought of that! Thanks lovely x
Taking photos in batches is such a good idea! I don’t know why I didn’t think of it
It saves so much time 🙌🏼
Locking up your phone is a big one for me if I want to be productive! It’s such a distraction!
I’m literally always on my phone so locking it away while writing is something I NEED to do otherwise I wouldn’t get anything done haha
Such a good post!! I’m the worst with taking photos and tend to only take a couple instead of doing it in batches, so I’ll defo start doing that one.
Thank you! It definitely saves you a lot of time if you can take them in batches!
I take so many batch photos! Working full time is so difficult to get the time to take photos x
It really does save time doesn’t it?! x
Great post, I’m going to try these out for myself as I’m feeling very unmotivated to write lately and hopefully it will help! Thank you for sharing 💗
I get so unmotivated sometimes and it can be hard to get back into it after a break, I hope these tips help you! xo
I absolutely loved this post! I have recently rebooted my blog (this past weekend) and so all of these tips are going to be amazing whilst I get back on top of my blog again! Thank you!

Ah I’m so happy that’s it’s helpful! I hope you love your new rebooted blog x
I am the worst when it comes to shooting in batch, I lack the inspiration and creativity. For me personally the words come first and then the pictures come last 🙂 Your productivity post is definitely inspiring 🙂
