Sometimes, I think it’s nice just to pause and think about what I’m loving in life right now and this post is all about that.
I’ve never done a favourites post or anything like it so I thought it was time to do this sort of post. I’m writing this while sipping a hot chocolate as it’s super cold and because why not? I hope you enjoy my little ramble about what I’m loving right now.
Get More Vitamin Drinks
I am probably the worst person when it comes to drinking water. I mean I do drink it but not as much as I should but when the guys over at Get More Vitamins offered to send me some samples of their Vitamin A drink to try I jumped at the chance.
As it’s so cold right now it’s important that we boost our vitamin intake to help our immune system fight off those nasty coughs and colds. Get More Vitamin Drinks are a sugar free, low calorie, flavoured vitamin water with no nasty aspartame which is great. I definitely struggle to get more vitamins into my diet so these products are just the best to help with that.
I received their Vitamin A drink which is a sparking blackcurrant and blueberry flavour and it’s designed to support healthy skin and vision. When I first tried the drink I quite liked how it had a little fizz to it as it’s different to just plain water so I’m more likely to drink it. I took one of these when I went for a run instead of water and even though it’s not an energy drink I think it helped as I definitely felt much better on my run.
Vitamins help you stay strong and healthy and without them your body can’t work properly so that’s why I think these drinks are great as not everyone likes to take tablets so these are a great substitute. Oh and Get More Vitamins also sell their vitamin drinks for kids which is amazing to help your kids get the vitamins they need as well as adding more water into their diet.
I’m looking forward to trying some of the other flavours as at the moment my vitamin D levels are dangerously low and I’m on some strong tablets to boost my levels but I might just have to pick up a couple of bottles of the vitamin D drink to help. I’m pretty sure these will be my go-to beverage when I need a pick up and I’m sure my body will thank me for that. You can check out their products on the website but they also stock their vitamin drinks in Sainsbury’s and other well known superstores.
Aussie 3 Miracle Oil
Recently I have been trying to take care of my hair more as it’s looking a little damaged and having lost my hair twice due to cancer treatment I want to try and keep it as healthy as possible. Having tried a few products before which haven’t made much of a difference I decided to pop into Boots just a couple of weeks ago and while browsing (which is always a bad idea in Boots for me) I saw the Aussie 3 Miracle Oil which looked good so I thought I’d try it out.
It’s a lightweight oil treatment for intensive care and I think I’ve found the perfect product for my hair. It honestly makes so much difference. The first time I used this I put it on just after I washed my hair before drying and I have also just used it when my hair is dry to leave it looking shiny rather than dry. It has helped repair the smoothness of my hair and it leaves my hair SO soft and manageable. Something I will definitely re-purchase. I will keep using this and hope it brings my hair back to life..
Boston Tea Party
I recently met up with my blogging bestie Gemma in Birmingham, she came up from Aylesbury and we spent the whole day around Birmingham shopping and eating, it couldn’t have been more perfect. When it came to deciding where to go for lunch we had a couple of ideas, one being Five Guys as we both haven’t been.. I know WHATTTT but in the end we chose to have a 10 minute walk out of the town centre to Boston Tea Party which Gemma recommended as she had been before, well I’m SO glad we went there. The interior and food were to die for.
They serve breakfast ALL day and anywhere that does that is a winner in my book, oh and the fact that the food at Boston Tea Party is locally sourced makes it even better. I chose to have a sausage bap and a side of fries, usually I would order more for lunch but this was just enough, I actually couldn’t finish it.. For the price I paid and how nice the food was I would definitely go back and try some more of their menu. Oh and a cute pug came in while we were eating so I don’t think the day could have gotten any better.
Running
I would never have thought I’d say this but I’m loving running at the moment. If you don’t know I’m training to be able to run the Great Birmingham 10K in May which I mentioned in my post 5 things I want to achieve before the end of the year at the end of 2017. I’ll be running for charity and I’m honestly so happy I decided to sign up. My ultimate dream is to be able to run The London Marathon at some point in my life.. I have already run a 5K so a 10K was kind of the next step.
I go running with my auntie as she is doing it with me once a week and then if I have time go to the gym or go for another run by myself but when I’m running I feel happy like I’m free if that makes sense. I mean the weather makes it so hard to get out of bed and get the motivation as running into the wind makes it 10x harder but I’m loving it, and hopefully in the summer I can keep it up as I’d love running as one of my hobbies.
I think in March I will have to up my training to 3 times a week to make sure I am going to be good for the 10K but I’m ready. I’m so ready to smash it. I think once I run through the finish line at the Great Birmingham 10K there will be tears but happy one’s.
The Winter Olympics
Who else is loving The Winter Olympics right now? I just can’t get enough, it’s on my television basically all day and when I’m out I’m always checking social media to see who’s won the next gold medal of the games. The opening ceremony was amazing. I love getting behind Team GB and get so into the events, I’m the one who shouts at the TV when I know it won’t make any difference whatsoever haha. The pairs figure skating is probably my favourite event, they are just so in sync and it looks so beautiful. Have you been watching?
You can find me over on instagram, why not have a little scroll while you’re there?

Thank you lovely xo
I’ve always wished to run in at least one marathon. So you training for a 10K is so nice to see. As for the winter Olympic, I haven’t had time to watch yet and I’m shocked because I would normally spend my entire day just watching the olympics 🙁
I really hope I will be able to 🙏🏼 Oh really?! That’s usually me too, I’ll just be stuck watching as I can’t take my eyes away from watching it haha.
I love vitamin water whenever I don’t ‘feel’ like drinking proper water, it makes me feel less guilty about drinking something else x
Exactly! That’s why I love these from Get More Vitamins 🙌🏼 They are just perfect xo
I love vitamin water drinks and me and my boyfriend have been enjoying watching the Winter Olympics too!
They are so good! I literally can’t stop watching, I’m obsessed haha xo
Ooh go you for deciding to run the 10k, best of luck with training and running that!x

Definitely do. I’m so glad me and Gemma were able to make plans to meet, it was such a lovely day! Hopefully you’ll meet some bloggers soon xo
Congratulations on signing up for a 10k, I’m excited to hear about the journey to May! I’m getting back into running myself, and I might sign up for a race to spur myself on. And as a Canadian, I’m all over the Olympics! FINALLY, OUR HALF YEAR OF WINTER PAYS OFF! 🤣
Thank you! Oh you should totally have a look at joining a race, I think if you have a target to reach your more likely to go running! Omg YES. Canada are doing amazingly well right now 🙌🏼
Love the list! I’m going to check out the vitamin drinks. I’ve been getting sick nonstop the last few months, so any vitamins I can get are appreciated!
I don’t think you can got wrong with a vitamin drink. I’m exactly the same, I catch everything going. Ugh 🙈
I am training for the Manchester 10K and I wish I had as much enthusiasm as you 😂 Great post!
Ahh no way. Hope your training is going well, lovely! I kinda just want to finish in a good time so I’m trying to push myself lately hahaha. Thank you! xo
It was definitely a good decision! I’m glad you enjoyed Boston Tea Party, at the moment I am missing it so much. Must see if Milton Keynes has one, it won’t be the same as Plymouth though! I’m soo proud of you for the Great Birmingham 10k I wish you all the best of luck babe, I know you can do it.
