Spring is well and truly here even through it’s felt like Summer on some days recently. Sun, where did you go? I am probably a little late with posting my goals for spring but I suppose it’ll give me a little bit more motivation to hit them before spring ends.
01. Stay consistently active on social media and my blog
I’d like to think I’m pretty active on my social media but not as much as I’d like, I’m very much slacking on Pinterest and that used to be one of my favourite platforms. I have a love/hate relationship with Instagram but lately I have been quite consistent with posting. I mean I’m still not happy with my feed/editing style but is anyone? Yes, engagement is dreadful lately but I’m just happy with posting photo’s so that’s what I’m going to continue to do and hopefully it’ll pay off.
In terms of my blog I think I’m doing pretty well but I’m not as consistent as I’d like to be so that’s something I have definitely got to work on. I’m the worst for working on a few blog posts and then not finishing them until the day I want to post. Yep, I’m that unorganised.
02. Run faster
Getting to the point of my goal with the title really aren’t I? I started running consistently around September/October last year and even though my times have come down from when I started, they aren’t where I want them to be. I’m running around 11 minute miles which is quite slow, my aim is to get it down to 10 and then improve even more. Unfortunately, I have a little pulled muscle in the top of my left leg at the moment so I’m taking it steady but once it’s fully recovered I’ll be out training getting those times down.
03. Visit one new place on my UK Travel Bucket List
After posting my UK travel bucket list about a month ago it inspired me to actually look at a places to visit. I’m thinking Canterbury or Bath because I haven’t been before and they both look like beautiful places. It’s always a struggle trying to figure out a day to go but Sunday’s are usually good so I’ll have to pick a date and stick to it.
04. Do at least one thing that scares me
Now this one is a little random but I think it’s a good one to I put in. I rarely get out of my comfort zone which isn’t a bad thing but I want to live a life I’ve dreamed about and I won’t do that living inside my comfort zone so doing things that scare me wether that’s something little like going for a long drive by myself or big like getting a tattoo, it’s something I have wanted to get done for a couple of years now but I just can’t decide on the design because I’m such an indecisive person. I think I just need to do more things on a whim because if I don’t I overthink and then it just doesn’t happen.
05. Look at my phone less
This kind of contradicts my number one goal but I am constantly checking my phone when I don’t have to, it’s a problem. I’m forever scrolling through Instagram when I’m bored (procrastinating) and I could be using that time productively! This is definitely one goal I’m determined to tick off and hopefully I’ll continue for the rest of the year.
Have you got any goals this Spring?
