If you’re following me on instagram you’ll know that recently I’ve been working with Dior Beauty. It’s crazy that I’ve actually written that sentence, never in a million years did I think I could work with Dior.. Just a dream collaboration for me. I have absolutely fell in love with their foundation and red lipstick so much so I thought I’d do a more in depth review.
Forever skin glow foundation
If there’s one Dior product I have always wanted to try, it’s their forever foundation. I have heard people rave about this foundation for years. The packaging and the bottle is just gorgeous, just what you would expect from Dior. The skin glow foundation is more for a radiant finish but if your looking for a more velvety matte finish then the Dior forever foundation is the more normal one if you can call it normal. I was pretty pleased to be sent the glow foundation though as my skin is super dry right now so this one was much better for my skin!
I was little nervous about receiving this foundation though because of the colour match. In the end I did get one which was probably a little too dark for my skin but my lightning drops from the body shop saved the day, I’ll just know for next time to get a lighter shade. Although I got my shade wrong it’s the best foundation I have used for years. The formula really is lovely and goes on so well. It gives such a natural finish which is what I always go for. I’d say it’s a light to medium coverage but its buildable. If you love a glowy finish you will love this foundation. At £37 it’s definitely at the high end but with only a couple of pumps you will see the coverage.
Rouge 999 lipstick
I don’t think I have ever seen a more perfect shade of lipstick. The shade 999 is just iconic and it’s just such a beautiful shade of red. The shade comes in two formulas – a bullet lipstick and a liquid lipstick.
Personally for me I will always go with a liquid lipstick, I just find them so much easier to put on. (I’ve never been very good with applying lipstick). The packaging for both is just stunning, I love the little ‘CD’ initials on the top of the bullet lipstick I think it just gives it that extra little touch.
I found the applicator on the liquid lipstick very easy to use, and the formula itself is just amazing. It feels so light when applied and I can so easily wear it all day without it drying out my lips compared to other liquid one’s I have tried. I am such a fan!
