  • Pixi Beauty.. Worth the hype?

Pixi Beauty is very much a blogger favourite. The brand is always all over my Instagram feed but I wanted to know wether it was worth the hype. Boots have just recently started selling Pixi in their stores so I decided to pick a couple of products up and pop them in my basket among lots of other stuff, as usual. I mean can you ever just go into Boots and just get the things you went in for?

Pixi Beauty aren’t the cheapest brand for skincare but they are definitely not the most expensive. I really wasn’t sure what the hype was all about before I tried the products for myself, but after testing them for a few weeks now I’m very impressed. The thing I love about Pixi as well is that the brand is cruelty free.

I was scared to introduce something new into my skincare routine as I was happy with my routine before but now I can really see a difference and I am so glad Introduced the Pixi products!

    Glow Tonic

“The glow tonic is a cult favourite gentle exfoliating toner that promises to brighten and clear your skin. It removes dead skin cells to reveal healthy glowing skin and a refined texture that looks and feels smooth”

The packaging itself is quite simple but I love the light green colour, it’s not too overwhelming and I love how the brand keeps the colour cohesive through thier products. The glow tonic retails for £18 in Boots which I really don’t think is too bad for a good quality product which will last and actually work.

In my skincare routine I normally use the Garnier Micellar cleansing water to take my makeup off and then I normally cleanse my skin and this is when I will normally use the Pixi Glow Tonic. I normally take a few drops on a cotton pad and apply to my dry skin in gentle wiping motion. It helps to remove any excess impurities, and It’s really become a key part of my skincare routine.

My skin is usually quite dry and oily most days but particularly this time of year, but having used the Pixi Glow Tonic for a while now I can really see a difference in my skin. It’s softer and brighter and my makeup just seems to go on so much better, it’s honestly been a game changer.

    Glow Mud Cleanser

“This gentle yet active cleanser exfoliates to remove dead skin cells and reveal more radiant & healthy skin. Detoxifies pores and deep cleans by drawing out impurities while providing essential nutrients to skin”

When I was trying to decide what products to pick up in Boots I was a little overwhelmed, I really didn’t know which products would sit well with my skin but the Glow Mud Cleanser stood out to me.

I normally wet my skin then apply a small amount on to my face every morning and evening, I just massage for around 30 seconds onto my skin the  rinse clean and pat dry and I can honestly say it leaves my skin feeling super soft and cleansed and I really do feel like it CLEANS my skin after.

The texture is extremely smooth and creamy and it spreads really easily on to my face, I’ve tried other cleansers which were really not easy to put on.. It doesn’t froth or lather up much, it’s more like a cleansing cream but I kind of like that.

My skin is mainly clear most of the time, I sometimes suffer with the odd breakout but it’s not usually too often but after using this my skin is looking clearer and more radiant. My pores feel less clogged and a lot fresher and this cleanser has really become something I will definitely re-purchase.

    Pixi Beauty

Pixi Beauty isn’t the cheapest of brands but that are far from expensive, and the couple of products I’ve tried from them have been worth the money. I’ve been super impressed by the quality of their products and will be buying more from them in the future.

Do you have any products from Pixi that you would recommend?
