First off I’m just going to apologise for the long absence, I really didn’t mean to leave it a month but I have been a little busy and I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to write as I’ve been having more bad days than good days recently but that’s probably because I’ve got my 1 year check up coming up next week.. My anxiety is at an all time high right now.
So, this is probably going to be one of the shortest posts I’ll ever write but I just wanted to share this with you. I’ve recently set up a charity page on Facebook called Team Samba which you can see here. I’ve set up Team Samba to help raise awareness for blood cancer as it doesn’t get enough and this needs to change – If you didn’t know blood cancer is the UK’s fifth most common cancer in children and young people. I’m also going to be raising money for Bloodwise (Formally Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research) as an ambassador for them I want to do as much as I can to help beat blood cancer sooner.
I have just started off fundraising with selling some Bloodwise merchandise and I am organising a big charity night to be held on the 12th November 16′ which I’m very excited about although planning has been so stressful. I will hopefully be signing up to do different events (for example – The Color Run) and doing other little events throughout the year to raise as much money as possible. I ran the Cancer Research – Race for Life and loved it so maybe more running events in the future are a possibility.
I’ve been given a second chance at life and I want to help make a difference so please help me a go and give my page a ‘like’.
