  • 12 things that cancer taught me

This is just a post that I needed to write down to help me remember because sometimes I forget and I shouldn’t. When I was diagnosed with cancer I had no idea what to expect, it was such an emotional roller coaster. I learned a lot of things and I just wanted to share what cancer taught me because it changed my life in so many ways.

    What cancer taught me..

    1. Cancer taught me that it’s important to live life with no regrets.

    2. Cancer taught me what true friendship looks like.

    3. Cancer taught me not to take things for granted anymore.

     4. Cancer taught me how to live each day like it could be my last.

    5. Cancer taught me the true courage of myself and others around me.

    6. Cancer taught me to be more compassionate to others.

    7. Cancer taught me that I can overcome anything.

    8. Cancer taught me to be hopeful.

    9. Cancer taught me that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

    10. Cancer taught me that your in control of your own destiny.

    11. Cancer taught me to experience dreams, not just dream them.

    12. Cancer taught me to forgive and make amends.

Cancer is a funny word. It makes you face death but acknowledge life, it makes you realise how much you want to live.

Tremendous stuff have been blessed to read your messages thanks! My daughter has Leukaemia ALL type and is neatly finished her maintenance phase of treatment. October 2016 will be her first birthday being cancer free. We can’t wait to celebrate her success. Take care

Number 3 really hit home with me but all of these are perfect, I love that you’ve found things to be thankful for when it comes to what you’ve learned from cancer. Your positivity has really inspired me 🙂
